In Astana, Viktor Khrenin and Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Defence Ministers of Belarus and Kazakhstan, signed several agreements on the organization of airfield and technical maintenance and on security of military aircrafts at the airfields of both CSTO Member States.
Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin is in Kazakhstan on an official visit.
“Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development of relations with the Republic of Belarus. Within the framework of international organizations, such as the CIS, CSTO and others, Kazakhstan and Belarus actively cooperate on defense and security issues. These forms of cooperation in the field of defense contribute to building trust and friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Belarus, as well as to ensuring security and stability in the region,” stated Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
Viktor Khrenin emphasized that Belarusian military universities train Kazakh officers and cadets. Soon, the Military Academy of Belarus will open a hall of Kazakh art of war.
During the visit, Viktor Khrenin also visited the National Defence University of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he learned about its educational programs and training facilities and went to the hall of Belarusian art of war.
