Talant Mamytov elected to the post of the Toraga (Chairman) of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic

Today, on November 4th, at a regular meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, held at the Ala Archa state residence, deputies reviewed the candidacy of Talant Mamytov, a Jogorku Kenesh deputy from the Respublika – Ata Zhurt parliamentary faction, for the post of the Jogorku Kenesh Toraga. After the voting, he was elected Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the official website of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, 100 deputies supported the candidacy of Talant Mamytov in a secret ballot. Jogorku Kenesh adopted a resolution to that effect.
The deputies congratulated Mr Mamytov on his election to the post of the Jogorku Kenesh Toraga and wished him fruitful work for the benefit of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Kanatbek Isaev noted that while fully understanding the responsibility entrusted to Parliament, he decided to step down from the post of the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic due to him being nominated as a presidential contender.
