On November 26, international observers from the CSTO PA led by their coordinator Aleksei Sandykov, deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, begun their work at the election of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic with a series of meetings with leaders of political parties involved in the election campaign. During the meetings with the representatives of parties Ishenim, the Socialist Party Ata Meken, Yntymak and Ata-Jurt Kyrgyzstan, party representatives and international observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization had a detailed conversation during which the parties that nominated their candidates for the election to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic shared their vision of the future of the Kyrgyz Republic and their views on the course and specifics of the election campaign.
The election campaign involves 22 political parties in a single electoral district and 321 candidates in single-seat electoral districts.
54 deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh are elected under the proportional system (from open lists of political party candidates) in a single electoral district, 36 deputies are elected under the majoritarian system in single-seat electoral districts.
The election of deputies to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic is scheduled for November 28.
