The CSTO Chief of Joint Staff and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly’s Executive Secretary Agreed on a 2024 Action Plan

On December 27, Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, and Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, met in Moscow.

The parties discussed plans for further interaction between the CSTO Joint Staff and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization, including work within the framework of the coordination meeting of the chairpersons of the defense and security committees and participation in military exercises conducted by the Joint Staff on the territory of the CSTO Member States.

Andrei Serdyukov was appointed Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff in November 2023 at the Collective Security Council in Minsk. Imangali Tasmagambetov, Secretary General of the Organization, presented the new Chief of Staff at a meeting of the CSTO PA Council in Moscow on December 19.

As you may recall, representatives of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly regularly take part in military exercises and other activities of the Organization’s Joint Staff.
