Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Meets with Representatives of Defence Agencies of the Organization’s Member States

At the Army 2023 International Military and Technical Forum, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, met with representatives of the defence agencies of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.

The parties discussed advanced military and technical developments and examples of new military and special equipment presented at the Forum. They discussed interaction related to military and technical cooperation and improvement of the CSTO collective security system.

“Within the framework of military and technical cooperation of the CSTO Member States, special attention is paid to the implementation of the measures of the Plan for Equipping the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Force with Modern Weapons, Military and Special Equipment and Special Assets. A draft decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council on equipping the CSTO Peacekeeping Force with modern weapons, military and special equipment and special assets has been finalized. Together with the defence agencies of the CSTO Member States, the development of a draft decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council On the List of Proposed Standard Modern and Advanced Weapons, Military and Special Equipment for the Collective Rapid Deployment Force of the Central Asian Region has been initiated,” Anatoly Sidorov said.

The Army 2023 Forum is the largest exhibition of weapons, military and special equipment, recognized as a major event in the sphere of international military and technical cooperation and a unique dialogue platform for exchanging views on global and regional security issues.
