Hovik Aghazaryan: People vote for the future of Kazakhstan
Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the Standing Committee on Socioeconomic and Legal Issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and a member of the Standing Commission on Economic Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, said that it was evident that people at the referendum voted for the future of Kazakhstan.
“I participate in the CSTO PA mission as an observer from the Armenian Parliament. I would like to say that everything is very well organized,” Hovik Aghazaryan said.
He said that the international observers from CSTO PA familiarized themselves with the documents, “held numerous meetings with different institutions: the CEC, Defence Ministry, Parliament and even with the leadership of the Trade Unions Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
“We were ready for today, and in the morning, we were already present at the opening of the polls. At 7:00 a.m. all the polling stations were open,” said Hovik Aghazaryan.
“We visited different polling stations, everything was organized in accordance with the law and it was nice to see that people came with their families and used their phones to take photos of this historical fact. You could easily tell that they voted for the future of Kazakhstan,” said the deputy of National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
