CSTO parliamentarians visit the Centre for Monitoring Medical and Biological Risks in Moscow
Within the framework of a working meeting of the Chairmen of the Committees of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States, which are responsible for international relations, defence, and security, parliamentarians visited the Federal Information and Analytical Centre for Monitoring Medical and Biological Risks in Moscow.
The purpose of the Centre's activities is to identify biological threats by monitoring biological risks. Employees of the Centre provide prompt information on the level of biological risk upper than acceptable and on neutralization of biological threats, as well as assess the efficiency of measures taken.
The CSTO Parliamentary Assembly is actively working to ensure medical and biological security. On December 19, 2023, the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Moscow adopted the Recommendations on Regulation of Biosecurity of CSTO Member States.
