Parliamentarians of the CSTO Countries To Take Part in Monitoring the Exercises in Belarus
On September 5–6, representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will monitor the CSTO military exercise Boyevoye bratstvo, being held in the Republic of Belarus.
On September 5, Minsk will host a session of the Coordination Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees on Defence and Security of the Parliaments of the CSTO Member States under the CSTO PA.
On that day, the members of the meeting are also due to meet with Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and Natalia Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the State Security Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the State Border and Customs Committees of the Republic of Belarus, the CSTO Secretariat and Joint Staff, as well as the Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
On Wednesday of September 6, members of the Coordination Meeting will take part as observers in the joint exercise Vzaimodeystviye 2023 with the CSTO CRRF, providing parliamentary monitoring of the political and military situation in the CSTO East European region of collective security and identifying the needs for improving the regulatory support of CSTO Member States’ military security.
