Belarus parliamentarians received awards of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly

Members of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus received awards of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization For Active Work on Developing Interparliamentary Cooperation between the CSTO Member States and Active Involvement in the Work of the CSTO PA and Its Bodies.

According to the press service of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, during the session of the Council of the Republic on December 22, 2021, Natalia Kochanova, Speaker of the Council of the Republic, awarded the medal For Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation in the CSTO to Sergei Rachkov, Chairman of the Standing Commission for International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic, member of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation.

Igor Gedich, member of the Standing Commission for Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, received a CSTO PA Certificate of Merit.

The decision to this effect was made at the CSTO PA plenary session on November 29, 2021.

Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, presented the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly’s awards in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

The medal For Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation in the CSTO was awarded to Oleg Belokonev, Chairman of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, and to Andrei Savinykh, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

Aleksandr Dubov, deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; Evgeny Zaitsev, member of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; and Ivan Mamaiko, member of the Standing Commission on National Security of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, were awarded the CSTO PA Certificates of Merit.

As you may recall, the CSTO PA Medal and Certificate of Merit are awarded to “state and public figures, citizens of the CSTO States and other countries ‘for active work on the development of interparliamentary cooperation between the CSTO Member States and active participation in activities of the CSTO PA and its bodies.’”
