In his speech at the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan promised that relations with Russia within the EAEU, CSTO and other international organizations and on a bilateral basis will develop in all areas, Sputnik Armenia reports.
“Let me especially emphasize the strategic alliance with the Russian Federation, which is one of the main factors of our country’s security architecture. The Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between Armenia and the Russian Federation, the agreement on the joint grouping of the Armenian and Russian Armed Forces continue to build the capacity of the [Russian] 102nd military base in our country,” he said.
Mr Pashinyan recalled in his speech that Russian border guards help to protect the border of the Republic. He particularly noted the personal role of Russian President Vladimir Putin in stopping the war in Karabakh and returning the prisoners.
