CSTO Member States’ permanent representatives to the UN discussed coordination of efforts

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Vershinin met with permanent representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States to the United Nations.
According to the website of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations. The meeting hosted a meaningful exchange of opinions on a number of global issues, including those standing on the agenda of the 76th session of the General Assembly, with a particular focus on coordination of efforts of CSTO members at the United Nations platform.
The participants of the meeting reiterated a shared position regarding the need to conjugate efforts along the UN-CSTO nexus with a view to giving an effective response to emerging threats and challenges, and also to boost cooperation of the UN and the CSTO in the area of peacekeeping.
