The Government of the Russian Federation has submitted for ratification to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation the Second Protocol between the Russian Federation and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on Amendments to the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the CSTO on terms of deployment of the CSTO Secretariat in the Russian Federation.
The document specifies the legal status of the CSTO Secretary General, his deputies and their families. In accordance with the protocol’s provisions, privileges and immunities are established for them to the extent provided for by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of April 18, 1961.
The document also establishes the term of “deputy Secretary General.”
