According to the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in a meeting of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The senators unanimously elected Maulen Ashimbayev, nominated by the President, as Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a secret ballot.
In response, Maulen Ashimbayev expressed his gratitude to the President and senators for the special confidence placed in him. “The President has voiced the main tasks facing the country. The most pressing problem today is the fight against the pandemic, which has spread around the world.
After the end of the state of emergency, as noted by the Head of State, the main task of all state authorities should be to maintain the continuity of Elbasy’s policy and to implement the President’s strategy aimed at further development of the state, the economy and the welfare of the country’s people.
The Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan will do whatever is necessary to ensure proper legislative support of the policy of the Head of State,” Maulen Ashimbayev said.
