The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked Russia for its help in the fight against COVID-19 and congratulated it on the registration of the world’s first coronavirus vaccine.
According to the official website of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the registration of the world’s first COVID-19 vaccine.
“This confirms the high potential and authority of Russian science, as well as Russia’s leading role in the fight against this global threat,” the telegram reads. “We are grateful to you for your staunch support of Kazakhstan in this time that is challenging for the whole world, including for sending humanitarian aid and doctors who significantly contributed to improving the epidemiological situation in our country,” the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan said. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev praised effective cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia in this area.
“In the second half of August, a government delegation will go to Moscow to discuss the purchase of the Russian vaccine,” the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported.
