CSTO CCBCD working group meets in Osh to plan anti-drug operations
A working group on the organization of anti-drug operations and other activities within the competence of the Coordination Council of the Heads of the Competent Authorities of the CSTO Member States for Countering Illicit Drug Trafficking met on March 29 in Osh, Kyrgyz Republic, under the chairmanship of Kirill Smurov, first deputy head of the Main Directorate for Drug Control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, reports the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The event participants included representatives of law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the CSTO Secretariat.
The meeting discussed issues of counteracting illicit drug trafficking in the regions of collective security and noted the need for close coordination of efforts by the competent bodies of the CSTO Member States in this field.
At the end of the meeting, it was decided to continue work on the implementation of the 2022 Action Plan of the CSTO Member States.
