Servicemen of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Ministry of Defence continue their engineering reconnaissance and demining operations in the Russian peacekeeping forces’ zone of responsibility in Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to the website of the Russian Ministry of Defence, engineering reconnaissance and demining of the land in Stepanakert was completed in one day, clearing 21.8 km of roads and neutralizing and removing 1,334 explosive objects for destruction.
Altogether, during demining operations in Nagorno-Karabakh (since November 23, 2020), about 195 ha of land, 87 km of roads and 423 buildings were cleared of unexploded munitions, more than 73,500 explosive objects were found and neutralized.

Soldiers taking part in demining are provided with modern sapper suits and modern explosive objects detection equipment: IMP-S2 mine detectors and INVU-3M detectors. Mine detection dogs are used in engineering reconnaissance.
