Russian instructors conducted training sessions on nuclear, chemical and biological (NBC) protection at the military base of the Southern Military District in Armenia. The classes covered the characteristics of modern nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, as well as the actions of personnel in contaminated terrain, the use of personal protective equipment, movement in mountainous terrain and at home stations and the rules of rest and nutrition.
The participants studied new weapons, such as radio frequency, infrasound and geophysical weapons, and discussed their use. Soldiers were introduced to their responsibilities in the event of nuclear, chemical and biological contamination, warning signals and actions on them, as well as equipment and personnel sanitation techniques.
Under the guidance of NBC protection instructors, the students practiced the skills of using personal protective equipment at training points. At the final stage, the servicemen passed the tests, such as putting on gas masks and protective suits, as well as acting in case of a nuclear explosion and when traveling on standard equipment.
