Russian Military in Armenia Will Create a Unified Network of Satellite Radio Communication in the Field Conditions
On August 8, Russian Defence Ministry reported that as part of planned training, Russian specialists of the communication troops in Armenia will practice setting up stable and secure communication in the field conditions.
Servicemen of the Southern Military District (SMD) military base will march to the training area of the high-altitude Alagyaz training range where they will deploy field control centres and set up a security outpost.
Training participants will provide uninterrupted communications to command posts and headquarters using short-wave and ultrashort-wave radios in conditions of “increased interference.” In addition, the communication experts will secure all types of communication equipment against interference and make sure that the connection is reliable and uninterrupted.
A unified satellite radio network will also be established, which will operate away from the main force using portable radios.
