CSTO PA Secretariat Expresses Condolences on the Death of Vladimir Churov
The Secretariat of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and the plenipotentiary representatives of the parliaments of the CSTO Member States express their deepest condolences on the passing away of Vladimir Churov, Ambassador at Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, former head of the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Mr Churov made a great personal contribution to improving the electoral system of the Russian Federation. At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he supervised election observation in foreign countries. Many of his ideas are reflected in the recommendations of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, which he actively helped develop. One of the most recent documents Vladimir Churov worked on is Recommendations on the Improvement of Legislation in the Area of Ensuring the Protection of Electoral Processes and Sovereignty of the CSTO Member States.
Vladimir Churov is well-known in the CSTO States as a great contributor to the development of parliamentary diplomacy.
He had brilliant organizational skills, was always ready to share his vast experience and was a sensitive and selfless person.
