CIS Council of Prosecutors General and CSTO PA Secretariat deepen expert interaction
Today, December 16, Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, met with Vladimir Zimin, Executive Secretary of the CIS Council of Prosecutors General.
The meeting focused on interaction at the expert level. The CIS Council of Prosecutors General takes an active part in the work of the Expert Advisory Board under the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
“Such interaction is very important for us to build horizontal contacts with relevant ministries, agencies and special services, in particular, with the Prosecutor General Offices of our countries, given that many laws are within the mandate of Prosecutor Generals’ activities. During the meeting we also outlined promising areas of cooperation, in particular, cooperation in the field of developing forward-looking recommendations on artificial intelligence and legal tech,” said Sergei Pospelov.
As you may recall, the main tasks of the Expert Advisory Board under the CSTO PA Council are scientific and analytical, methodological and expert legal support of model lawmaking activity of the CSTO PA and its bodies.
