Chairpersons of CSTO parliaments arrived in Yerevan

Chairpersons of the Parliaments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States arrived in Yerevan (Republic of Armenia) where a field meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held today, June 6.
Participants of the meeting will include Alen Simonyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia (the Republic of Armenia chairs the CSTO in 2022); Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus; Askar Shakirov, deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Erlan Koshanov, Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Talant Mamytov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic; Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; Yuri Vorobyov, deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; and Zokirzoda Mahmadtoir Zoir, Speaker of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
A delegation of the Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Mr Abbas Moghtadaei, first deputy Chairman of the Commission for National Security and Foreign Policy of the Assembly of the Islamic Council will attend the CSTO PA meeting as guests.
Mr Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, who will participate in the CSTO PA Council meeting via videoconference, sent a video message of greetings to the CSTO PA Council.
In addition, the CSTO PA Council received a written greeting from Esteban Laso, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power of the Republic of Cuba.
