Tasmagambetov and Manturov Discussed Development of Military and Economic Cooperation
At their meeting on February 28, Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, and Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade and Chairman of the CSTO Inter-State Commission for Military and Economic Cooperation, stressed the need to combine the existing potential of the CSTO Member States’ defence industry enterprises.
According to the CSTO website, Imangali Tasmagambetov emphasized that of the approximately 60 documents adopted within the Organization with the status of inter-state treaties, about 30 percent regulate military and economic cooperation.
“Today there is a sufficiently solid legal framework for the development of practical cooperation between the national defence industry enterprises and defence sector enterprises in the Member States of the Organization,” Denis Manturov noted.
Imangali Tasmagambetov reported on the CSTO Secretariat’s preparation for the 21st meeting of the Inter-State Commission to be held in April 2023 in Dushanbe.
The parties also discussed the International Forum on Collective Security Interpolytech to be held in 2024 with CSTO’s support.
