The Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyzstan thanked international observers from IPA CIS and CSTO PA for their work during the elections in the Kyrgyz Republic

During the election to the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic, international observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly met with Dastanbek Djumabekov, the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh informed meeting participants about the specificities of the election campaign, tasks to form a new convocation of the parliament and plans for active cooperation within the framework of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

In his turn, Konstantin Zatulin, head of the CSTO PA international observer mission and deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, spoke about the work of international observers, emphasizing the importance of scaling up the experience of organizing elections in the Kyrgyz Republic to the CSTO space.

Konstantin Zatulin thanked Dastanbek Djumabekov for the invitation to take part in monitoring the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
