CSTO Exercise Nerushimoye bratstvo to Be Held in Kyrgyzstan
On September 26–27, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, paid a working visit to Kyrgyzstan to discuss organizational issues and to reconnoitre the venues for the joint exercise Nerushimoye bratstvo 2023 with the CSTO Peacekeeping Force.
During the visit, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov visited the Edelweiss training range, reviewed the deployment and support procedures for CSTO Member States contingents, the arrangement of training points and the list of issues to be practised, focusing on inspecting the deployment sites of joint control posts and the areas where the contingents will practise the main tactical episodes of the exercise.
As part of the working visit, a meeting was held in Bishkek with Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, Minister of Defence of the Kyrgyz Republic, to discuss preparation and conduct of the joint exercise Nerushimoye bratstvo 2023 with the CSTO Peacekeeping Force.
The exercise will be held on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic on October 9–13 this year at the final stage of the joint CSTO operational and strategic exercise Boyevoye bratstvo 2023. The exercise will focus on post-conflict settlement in a crisis zone, including the conduct of a peacekeeping operation involving the forces and assets of the CSTO collective security system and the provision of humanitarian assistance.
As you may recall, in September 2023, an observation mission of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly followed the course of the Boyevoye bratstvo exercise in the Republic of Belarus, whose members noted that the exercise was well organized.
