A Meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Took Place in Almaty

A Meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Has Begun in Almaty.

The meeting is chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. 

Parliamentarians will discuss measures to counter challenges and threats to collective security, as well as amendments to the 2021–2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States.

As you may recall, today the members of the CSTO PA Council laid a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame in the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park in Almaty, and then met with the President of Kazakhstan.

“We have just had a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid a particular attention to the parliamentary dimension of the Organization", Vyacheslav Volodin noted at the opening of the Council meeting.
