From November 10 to 12, the National Defence University of Kazakhstan in Astana hosted an educational and methodological meeting with the heads of CSTO training and research organizations and the VII meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Council of Defence Ministers on coordination of scientific work and joint training of military personnel.
Andrei Serdyukov, Colonel General and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, emphasized the exceptional importance of joint training in the Organization's format.
“Guided by the goals and principles of the Organization and striving to ensure a high level of military personnel training, the CSTO bodies have adopted more than 25 legal acts over the years of cooperation, which ensures the efficient functioning of the established system,” said Andrei Serdyukov.
The participants discussed the experience of servicemen training and worked out suggestions to improve cooperation between educational institutions. Colonel Murat Olzhabaev thanked his colleagues for their efforts in strengthening cooperation in the field of military education.
As you may recall, military personnel training is also in the center of attention of the Organization's Parliamentary Assembly. On October 13, 2017, the Recommendations on the Harmonization of the CSTO Member States’ Legislation Concerning Military Personnel Training were adopted.
