Today, on November 28, a joint meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defence Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils was held in Astana under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan.
The participants discussed the military and political situation in the region, summarized the results of cooperation and considered the prospects for further development of the collective security system.
Special attention was paid to preparations for the joint celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
They also approved a number of documents submitted for consideration of the CSTO Collective Security Council and adopted decisions aimed at strengthening allied ties, improving foreign policy coordination and developing the Collective Forces.
