Kyrgyzstan Negotiates the Unbreakable Brotherhood 2023 Joint Exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Force
On June 20–22, the Kyrgyz Republic hosted the second staff talks on the organization and conduct of a joint exercise. A protocol to that effect was signed today in Bishkek by the heads of the delegations.
The parties discussed the basic concept of the joint exercise, lists of command bodies and troops to be involved, governance approaches and comprehensive support of the exercise.
Participants in the staff talks surveyed the exercise locations, as well as airfields and loading/unloading sites and routes to the exercise area.
Representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of CSTO Member States, a group of Joint Staff officers led by Colonel Emilbek Tukayev, and members of the CSTO Secretariat participated in the staff talks.
The holding of the Unbreakable Brotherhood 2023 joint exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Force on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic is scheduled for the autumn of 2023 at the final stage of the joint operational and strategic exercise Combat Brotherhood 2023. The exercise will practice post-conflict resolution in the crisis zone by conducting a peacekeeping operation using the forces and assets of the CSTO collective security system in the interests of maintaining peace and security.
