On September 19, National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus opened the eleventh session of the Council of the Republic and the tenth session of the House of Representatives.
“Today is a significant event in our parliamentary activity and in the life of each of us... This convocation falls on a special period of modern history not only for the Republic of Belarus, Belarusian statehood, but also in the whole history of the development of human civilization, the world history,” said Natalia Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic.
Vladimir Andreichenko, Speaker of the House of Representatives, called the unity of the authorities and the people the foundation of the Belarusian statehood and the basis of national security. It is this cohesion, he said, that allows to “preserve peace and look confidently into the future.”
