Unbreakable Brotherhood, CSTO’s exercise in Belarus, will practice a peacekeeping operation
The Central Military District continues the scheduled preparation of units for the command and staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Force Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020, reports the Department of Information and Mass Communication of the Russian Ministry of Defence. The exercise will take place from October 12 to 16, 2020 at the Losvido proving ground in Vitebsk oblast, Republic of Belarus.
The exercise will train the preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Force.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus, the exercise of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020 will involve over 700 servicemen and 100 units of equipment.
“The total number of the exercise participants will be over 700 people and more than 100 units of military and special equipment, including helicopters and UAVs,” the press service informs.
Armed-force units of the CSTO Member States will take part in the exercise.
According to exercise’s Joint Press Centre, Stanislav Zas, CSTO Secretary General, and Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, Head of the CSTO Joint Staff, will attend the Unbreakable Brotherhood 2020.
