Veroljub Arsić: Republic of Serbia will continue active and dynamic cooperation within the CSTO PA framework
“Participation of the Guard of the Serbian Armed Forces in the Victory Parade in Moscow on June 24 celebrating the triumph of humankind over one of the greatest evils in history speaks of the enormous symbolic importance of our cooperation against the backdrop of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory over fascism,” said deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Veroljub Arsić during the meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on June 15.
The representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia (an observer to the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly) appreciated the assistance provided to the Republic of Serbia in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, “especially to military doctors and members of the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Troops of the Russian Army for humanitarian cooperation and protection of the population.”
Mr Arsić recalled that the Republic of Serbia is currently in the pre-election process, but expressed confidence that “even after that, Serbia will continue active and dynamic cooperation within the framework of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, considering that concrete results and openness of cooperation are the best guarantee of its further mutual development.” At the same time, he noted that “Serbia remains strongly committed to the sovereign and independent policy of military neutrality and cooperation with all friends on an equal and mutually beneficial basis, advocating for peace, stability and respect for international law.”
