Vietnam to continue working with the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly

Nguyen Tung Lam, deputy Ambassador of Vietnam to Russia, and Sergei Pospelov, CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Executive Secretary, held a working meeting on January 16, 2023.

“For us, Vietnam’s participation in the CSTO work is of great importance. Vietnam is one of the important players in Eurasia. It has signed a free-trade agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union, and the EAEU states are also members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization,” said Sergei Pospelov and thanked representatives of Vietnam for attending a CSTO Parliamentary Assembly meeting in Moscow on December 5, 2022.

It was the first time Vietnam participated in a joint session of the CSTO PA Council. In turn, the Vietnamese party expressed interest in maintaining fruitful working cooperation.
