Vladimir Putin Speaks at the Opening of the Russia-Latin America Parliamentary Forum
On September 29, the Column Hall of the House of Unions is hosting the opening ceremony of Russia-Latin America International Parliamentary Conference.
On the initiative of the leadership of the Russian Duma, representatives of legislative bodies and leaders of various political parties, heads of public organizations, experts and diplomats from most Latin American states have gathered in Moscow.
In his speech at the opening of the conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that Latin America would play a leading role in world politics.
“The arrival of a representative group of lawmakers from Latin America, expressing the will of their constituents and acting in their interests, is another testament to the desire of the peoples of our countries to develop a comprehensive mutually beneficial partnership with Russia. We are convinced that the intensification of direct dialogue through parliaments opens up very good opportunities for deepening our cooperation and expanding it through new areas of joint activity,” Vladimir Putin stressed.
On Sunday, October 1, representatives of PA CSTO and SergeiPospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, will address the section titled Security for All. The Position of Parliaments.
