An extraordinary joint meeting of the CSTO PA Standing Commissions was held remotely
An extraordinary joint meeting of the Standing Commissions of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held as a videoconference.
Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the CSTO PA on Defence and Security and a member of the State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control, welcomed meeting participants and thanked them for participation in the event.
The main issue on the meeting’s agenda was the 2021-2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Senate and Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Federation Council and State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli and the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. They considered and adopted the addenda and amendments to the draft 2021–2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States made by the parliaments of the CSTO Member States. Participants of the joint meeting of the CSTO PA Standing Commissions generally approved the draft 2021–2025 CSTO PA Action Plan on Approximation and Harmonization of National Legislation of the CSTO Member States made by the parliaments of the CSTO Member States and decided to submit it for consideration at the next meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
