According to the press service of the Southern Military District of the Russian Ministry of Defence, specialists from the engineering troops of the Southern Military District in Armenia will provide engineering support for troops as part of a special exercise at the Alagyaz training ground.
The servicemen of the unit, using special equipment, Korshun mine detectors and mine detection dogs will carry out engineering reconnaissance, fortify lines, positions and areas, install mine blast obstacles and equipment of command posts in the highland areas for further tasks.
In the preparatory period, specialists of the engineering troops of the Southern Military District prepared command posts, training areas, special training points and other infrastructure facilities of the high-mountain training grounds Alagyaz and Kamkhud.
In addition, the training range will have an area for mass refueling of combat equipment with advanced fueling trucks.
The area will be equipped by specialists of the logistics unit of the Southern Military District base in Armenia, who will have previously marched to the region of the Alagyaz training ground.
Refueling will be provided by units of ATZ-12-63501 refueling truck that are technically capable to refuel ten vehicles simultaneously. In addition to a significant reduction of time, the equipment will ensure enhanced filtration of the dispensed fuel up to 5 microns.
The command will pay special attention to the observance of safety rules when carrying out combat missions.
