Vyacheslav Volodin and Talant Mamytov discussed bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation
Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, met with a delegation from the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic led by Talant Mamytov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Talant Mamytov discussed bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation, according to the press service of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
“Our relations are marked by a desire to develop the parliamentary dimension, to fill it with specific content. We maintain constant contact,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
Talant Mamytov, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, expressed his hope that the meeting will give additional impetus to the strengthening of inter-parliamentary development and resolution of issues of expanding relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation.
He emphasized the high level of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic both at the bilateral level and in the format of inter-parliamentary organizations, and stressed the willingness of the Kyrgyz side to intensify the cooperation.
“The Kyrgyz Republic has always been and will remain Russia’s reliable partner based on trust, many years of friendship and mutual support. We highly appreciate your personal attention to the development of Kyrgyz-Russian allied relations,” said Talant Mamytov to Vyacheslav Volodin.
He also thanked Russia for its help in implementing measures within the framework of integration in the Eurasian space, development of humanitarian and educational sphere and strengthening the country’s defence capacity.
“Let me take this opportunity to express my immense gratitude to the leadership of the Russian Federation, which has always supported us in the most difficult times,” said Talant Mamytov.
“The agenda includes current topics of strengthening and developing relations between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic within the parliamentary dimension. We will focus on the fight against illegal migration, the development of transport infrastructure and cooperation in the energy sector. We will continue to look for and work out joint solutions at the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly platform,” said Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Standing Commission on Defence and Security and deputy Chairman of the Committee on Security and Corruption Control of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Talant Mamytov also invited Vyacheslav Volodin to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
The Russian party at the meeting also included Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots; Andrei Kartapolov, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Defence Committee; Evgeny Moskvichev, Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Transport and Transport Infrastructure Development; and Anatoly Vyborny, deputy Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Security and Corruption Control.
