Vyacheslav Volodin Elected Chairman of the CSTO PA

A joint meeting of the CSTO PA and the 17th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has begun in Moscow. The meeting is chaired by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the CSTO PA and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
 
At the beginning of the meeting, Vyacheslav Volodin was unanimously elected Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly. Colleagues from the CSTO states noted the high professionalism and many years of efficient activity of the Chairman of the Assembly. 
 
In accordance with the agenda of the meeting, it is planned to consider a number of issues, including the implementation of priorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the CSTO, the priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic for the period of the CSTO chairmanship in 2025, the results of the regular session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in November and current activities of the Organization, as well as the adoption of legislative acts and political statements on relevant security issues.
