Vyacheslav Volodin and Talant Mamytov discussed inter-parliamentary cooperation

Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, and Talant Mamytov, Toraga (Speaker) of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, met in Tehran to discuss the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, reports the press service of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
“It is important for us to develop relations in various formats. We must do everything to strengthen ties in the interests of our peoples and states, relying on the long-standing ties of friendship,” said Vyacheslav Volodin.
Vyacheslav Volodin said that the relations between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic are at a very high level and have achieved great results. There is active work in international organizations; the states are strategic partners.
“It is extremely important to also improve the parliamentary dimension and to keep finding new forms of cooperation. Our states will benefit from this,” the CSTO PA Chairman said.
Vyacheslav Volodin and Talant Mamytov spoke in favour of active cooperation between specialized committees of the parliaments of the two countries.
As you may recall, the Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is in Tehran on behalf of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to attend the inauguration ceremony of Seyyid Ebrahim Raisi, President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
