Jeenbek Kulubaev is the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic
Arzybek Kozhoshev, first deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, introduced Jeenbek Kulubaev, the new head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, to the staff of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. According to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, on April 23, 2022, Arzybek Kozhoshev, first deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, introduced Jeenbek Kulubaev, the new head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, to the staff of the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In his welcome address, first deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized the importance of tasks to strengthen the coordinating role of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry in foreign policy and effective promotion of the state’s national interests in the international arena.
In turn, the new head of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry thanked the state leadership for their confidence in him and touched upon relevant issues of foreign policy and outlined the Ministry’s main priorities. Noting Jeenbek Kulubaev’s vast experience in state and diplomatic work, Arzybek Kozhoshev, first deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, wished the new head and the entire Foreign Ministry staff successful and fruitful work.
According to AKI press, Jeenbek Kulubaev was born in 1963 in Chyrpykty village of Issyk-Kul oblast. He graduated from the Moscow Military Institute and the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.

1996–1998: head of the Asia and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
1998–2000: advisor to the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in China;
2001–2003: head of the Asia and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2003–2004: deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2004–2006: deputy Executive Secretary of the SCO (Beijing);
2006–2007: Ambassador-at-Large, Director of the Department of International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2007–2009: Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Malaysia;
2009–2013: Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to China;
2010–2013: Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Mongolia and Singapore concurrently (with residence in Beijing);
2013–2016: head of the Asia and Africa Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2016– October 2018: director of the Fourth Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;
2018–2021: Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan;
In August 2021, he was appointed head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration.
Since April 23, 2022, he is Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
