On March 26, the meeting of the CSTO PA Council’s Expert Advisory Board in St. Petersburg began with a minute of silence.
"Parliamentarians and high-level experts are united in the belief that terrorism has no nationality. Its goal is to cause as many deaths, pain and suffering as possible, to intimidate the authorities and the people, to create an atmosphere of panic and political instability," said Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the Expert Advisory Board.
He reminded everyone that Russia stood up to terrorism in the 90s, vanquished it in the 2000s; and no one has any doubts that today the strong-spirited Russian people will defeat this evil.
The participants of the meeting discussed a number of draft Model Laws aimed at countering international terrorism, ensuring migration security of the CSTO Member States, as well as combating illegal migration. Increasing the efficiency of digital forms of legalization of external labor migrants remains a priority as well.
"In this context, we are increasing our capacity to ensure information security, including countering modern combined forms of destructive influence. Draft Recommendations regulating the creation of artificial intelligence and robotics is aimed at developing common policy of the CSTO countries in the field of AI," Mr. Vyborny shared.
On March 26, the CSTO PA headquarters in St. Petersburg also hosted a meeting of the Legal Centre for Information and Analysis of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
