Anatoly Vyborny: We step up CSTO-wide joint actions on bio- and cybersecurity
Anatoly Vyborny, Chairman of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Standing Commission on Defence and Security and deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Committee on Security and Corruption Control, held a meeting of the CSTO PA Expert Advisory Board in St Petersburg.
The meeting reviewed a number of draft model legislative acts, including model acts on biological security and criminalization of Nazism.
In particular, as Anatoly Vyborny said, it is proposed to strengthen criminal liability for rehabilitating Nazism, equating the role of the USSR and Germany in the Second World War and insulting veterans in the Member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
“Within the CSTO, we will continue to intensify joint actions to protect digital sovereignty and prevent threats in the area of biological and cybersecurity. In particular, as part of the decision of the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils to create a Coordinating Council of Authorized Bodies of the CSTO Member States, a unified network for monitoring biological risks is being created on the basis of the FMBA of Russia, and all CSTO States will be involved in this work,” said Anatoly Vyborny.
