Andreichenko noted the growing role of the CSTO PA observation mission
On February 24, Vladimir Andreichenko, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, met with the mission of international observers of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk.
During the meeting, he reported on the preparations for the elections, the state of affairs in the Republic in general, and also noted the efficiency of the CSTO PA observation mission.
"I would like to acknowledge the growing role of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly mission. The decision to establish it was an important step not only for carrying out the tasks of the mission itself, but also for strengthening the authority of the CSTO as a whole," Mr. Andreichenko noted.
As you may recall, February 25, 2024 is a single voting day in Belarus. The country will elect Deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the eighth convocation and local Councils of Deputies of the twenty-ninth convocation.
A total of 294 international observers, including a group of observers from the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, will work at the elections in Belarus.
