Artur Davtyan: Russian elections created all the conditions for the free expression of will
.Artur Davtyan, a deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia who monitors the election to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation as part of the observer group of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, praises the level of preparation for the voting and the election. “We visited precinct election commissions in Moscow and St Petersburg.
We saw that all the conditions for the free expression of will of the voters were created; election commission members were working; the voting was monitored by people representing different political parties; everything was done to ensure that the country holds normal, fair elections.
Conditions are equal for all, we did not observe any problems, that someone was not allowed to vote, or anything like that...
In the morning we inspected the ballot boxes with the ballots that were placed there yesterday, we checked, everything was sealed and everything was in order.
We also observed the work at the Electronic Voting Monitoring Centre (in St Petersburg), we saw how everything was organized and we liked it. We will follow this example.”
