Belarus and Kazakhstan Strengthen Cooperation Within the CSTO and Other Structures
Astana hosted another round of consultations of Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Kazakhstan. The Belarusian delegation was represented by Igor Nazaruk, deputy Foreign Minister; the Kazakhstani delegation was represented by Ermukhambet Konuspayev, deputy Foreign Minister.
The meeting focused on the prospects of Belarus–Kazakhstan cooperation on a wide range of issues and identified key areas for expanding the bilateral interaction.
Special attention was paid to the issue of further deepening of cooperation between Belarus and Kazakhstan within the integration organizations (CSTO, CIS, EAEC and SCO), as well as at international forums (UN and OSCE).
The parties have stated that the Belarus–Kazakhstan dialogue has been steadily developing and is aimed at consistent expansion of diverse contacts. The consultations resulted in the signing of the Belarus-Kazakhstan Inter-MFA Cooperation Plan for 2023–2024.
