From June 5 to 8, the Northern Capital is hosting the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
In 2024, its main theme is “The Formation of New Areas of Growth as the Cornerstone of a Multipolar World”.
Speaking at the forum on June 6, Sergei Pospelov, Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, noted that the parliamentarians of the Organization are ready for and expect constructive interaction and cooperation in the field of ensuring Eurasian security and integration.
He elaborated on the issues of ensuring biological security, and also spoke at the section of the forum dedicated to the integration of artificial intelligence technologies.
As you may recall, on June 3 in Almaty, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly adopted the Statement on the Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies. The members of the CSTO PA Council advocate that the development and use of artificial intelligence technologies in the civil sphere should be regulated, supervised, safe, reliable and aimed at solving crucial problems of society and humanity.
