Deputies observed a minute of silence in memory of Almazbek Akmatov
The Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization began its work with a minute of silence. Deputies of the parliaments of the CSTO Member States commemorated Almazbek Akmatov who passed away on February 28 after a prolonged illness.
Almazbek Akmatov was born October 18, 1964, in the Naryn oblast. In 1986, he graduated from the Novosibirsk Higher Military-Political Combined Arms School.
In 2015, Almazbek Akmatov became a deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic from the Bir Bol party. In the Jogorku Kenesh, he served as deputy chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Policy, Water Resources, Environment and Regional Development. He actively participated in the work of the CSTO PA Standing Commission on Political Affairs and International Cooperation.
