Eduard Aghajanyan: Voting on draft resolutions of the OSCE PA session requires coordination
“I would like to remark on the draft resolutions of the OSCE PA Committee on Political Affairs and Security and Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions,” said Eduard Aghajanyan, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia and head of the Armenian Parliamentary delegation to the OSCE PA, at the coordination meeting of the heads of the parliamentary delegations of the CSTO Member States to the OSCE PA.
One of the proposals, according to him, refers to a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and additions on pending humanitarian issues: on the preservation of Armenian cultural and religious heritage sites “in the territories controlled by Azerbaijan and, in particular, the implementation of UNESCO technical missions.”
Eduard Aghajanyan urged to support these initiatives, noting that the Republic of Armenia has always taken into account and will continue to do so, among other things, “the interests of our allies; nothing has changed in this regard.”
