CSTO Secretary General and Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation discussed the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility
Stanislav Zas, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, received Krystyna Marty Lang, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to the Russian Federation, who has recently started her work in Moscow. According to the CSTO press service, at the request of the Ambassador, the CSTO Secretary General shared his assessments of the situation in the Eastern European, Caucasian and Central Asian regions of the CSTO collective security and the measures being undertaken by the CSTO to prevent and resolve conflicts and address modern challenges and threats. CSTO’s cooperation with international organizations such as the UN, OSCE, CIS and SCO was also noted.
The importance of consolidating the efforts of international community in strengthening international peace and security, combating terrorism, drug trafficking and information technology crimes was stressed.
The parties expressed readiness to remain in contact to continue exchanging views on issues of mutual interest.
