CSTO Secretary General held talks with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry and Security Council in Astana

Stanislav Zas, Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, who is on a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, held talks in Astana with Mukhtar Tleuberdi, deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Gizat Nurdauletov, aide to the President, Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan. The meetings centered on preparations for the upcoming meetings of the CSTO’s statutory bodies, which will take place in the Republic of Armenia in November. The parties also discussed the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility with a focus on the Central Asian region.
The website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports that “a wide range of issues on the key areas of cooperation within the Organization were discussed. Mukhtar Tleuberdi presented Kazakhstan’s position on various aspects of the CSTO activities and shared his vision for the further development of this international organization.”
