CSTO Secretary General meets with Secretary of the Security Council and Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan

On March 5, Imangali Tasmagambetov, CSTO Secretary General, met with Gizat Nurdauletov, Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan, and Ruslan Zhaksylykov, Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan and Colonel General, in Astana.

During the meeting, the participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of the collective military component, as well as joint countering of challenges and threats.

The sides exchanged views on upcoming joint events scheduled within the framework of Kazakhstan's chairmanship of the CSTO, including the meeting of the Council of Defence Ministers and the meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of the CSTO Security Councils in June this year.
